Reluctant Hero present Thick as Thieves a graphic interpretation of what we see as the unravelling of the icons and symbols that we grew up with. As we forge ahead into this new and unsettled world, once comforting symbols such as the Milk Man, Monarchy, Government, Post Office etc. are being dismantled and in their place are rapacious supermarkets, corporate crookery and feral teens weaving their geometry of menace around haunted estates. Yet all is not bleak, Thick as Thieves is at it’s core a celebration of the region, a people and their resoloute strength in maintaining dignity through adversity.
