Chris Haughton is the author/illustrator of award winning children’s books including A Bit Lost and Shh We Have a Plan. He also works as a designer for fair trade companies with several fair trade craft projects and set up the fair trade project NODE with Akshay Sthapit as a social business to connect UK and worldwide designers with fair trade. They launched NODE in the Design Museum in London by inviting 18 artists to each design a rug which was then exhibited at the exhibition and sold through the Design Museum. They have since exhibited the rugs in Spain, Finland and have an upcoming show in LA. They have been commissioned to install rugs throughout a ward in the Royal London Hospital. Chris will discuss the development of NODE and their products and his interior for the Royal London Hospital.
