Bryan Edmondson is a British graphic designer and founder of the renowned design consultancy SEA.
After studying graphic design at Newcastle polytechnic Bryan moved to London and after working at Roundel, Williams & Phoa and Imagination he established SEA in 1996.
SEA is highly regarded for its work in brand identity, strategy and art direction and over the past 20 years has worked within a variety of sectors including luxury and lifestyle brands to cultural institutions for clients such as Jamie Oliver, Matthew Williamson, EMI, GF Smith, adidas/Porsche, W Hotel, Fedrigoni and the iconic type company Monotype.
Bryan will be discussing the development of SEA over the last twenty years and sharing insights on a range of their work.
Bryan is passionate about identity and typography which lead to the proud undertaking of an immense rebrand for the global type giants Monotype. This longstanding creative collaboration with them has helped launch the Pencil to Pixel installations in both London and New York, the Johnston 100 typeface and their London HQ with Ben Adams Architects in 2016.
His work has been widely published and received recognition in both national and international awards along with the highly prestigious nomination for the Design Museum, Designs of the Year 2012. During his career he has lectured at many UK universities and events such as D&AD, Semi Permanent (NZ), Typo Circle and the London event, 4Designers.
